    18 Summers

This week is loaded with some great content and reminders that there is something to be grateful for in your life. What I am Watching My kids grow.  That’s right – no video content this week, just a not-so-subtle reminder that your kids are NOT with you forever. At most, you get 18 summers with them. If the last 18 months have taught me anything, it’s to slow down and watch them grow. Maybe you don’t have children at home anymore or never have at all. Let this section be a reminder to deepen authentic relationships in general. Let’s be honest: what else are we here to do? What I…

A Message of Hope and Unity

Today’s Three Action Thursday has a theme: it is one of unity and hope. I am excited to share it with you, and I hope you take the 3-5 minutes needed to absorb the content. A Video I Watched Neal Foard is the Chief Marketing Officer for Within Inc. Earlier this week I watched a video he made providing perspective on the current state of the world and the United States. He shares his thoughts by relating a personal story about him and his father. This is well worth the 2-minute watch. A Story/Anecdote I Enjoyed Reading In a high school class recently, students were learning about the Salem Witch…

    Less Friends/Deeper Relationships

So in this week’s piece, I want to go “deep” on Authentic Relationship building, maintaining the good habits coming out of the pandemic, and of course share some quotes that might get you thinking. For most of us, we spent our days in school or…

Flamin’ Hot Cheetos & the Myth of Happiness

This week we have a counter-narrative video on capitalism, the inspiring story of the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos millionaire, my thoughts on “happiness,” and some great quotes to ponder. Videos I am Watching I found these two videos profoundly interesting. Capitalism is not perfect, but the narratives told by the media do not tell the whole truth. 1. A few weeks ago I shared with you my favorite John Stossel Videos. Well, this week he released his first in a series of videos on capitalism myths. Capitalism Myths Part 1 definitely had me rethinking some of the stereotypes and rhetoric stated by the media.  2. Another great capitalistic/career growth story is…
