Our Lives Change When Our Habits Change
Can I be honest with you? I definitely thought about not writing this week. It would have been much easier to just say “Merry Christmas” and “See you in the New Year.” But I was really conflicted. I’ve been shocked and amazed by the feedback the email distribution has gotten and the discussions in the Three Action Thursday Facebook Group have been awesome so far. So instead here we are…I won’t bail this week. So today I thought we could talk about the following… Our lives changing when our habits change. Book Recommendation Time Creating a Side Hustle that will change your life PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT New Year’s resolutions are the worst. Personally,…

Having a Growth Mindset
Today I’m going to talk to you a little bit about: The numbers are not lying. Most of us are settling in life. How my family became debt free except for our mortgage And why I show my kids every day that they are NOT my #1 Priority PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT “YOU ARE SETTLING!” I was listening to a person I respect greatly speak to a large group. Boom! That saved us about $225 a month.…

Most people retire in their 60’s or 70’s (if they retire at all) but FIRE is about doing it much earlier than this, usually in your 40s, 30s, and sometimes even in your 20s. Here’s a FIRE BASICS blog post from Lifehacker to get you started. I don’t…

Whats Your Worth
Send me an email and let me know if you got anything out of last week’s 3AT. Got some great stuff for you this week…. PERSONAL FINANCE Many people measure their financial health based on their income, and even worse they set artificial milestones in their heads based on it. “I want to make $100k a year by the time I’m 30.” In reality that doesn’t tell much of a story, especially if you SPEND most of it. A better metric is net worth. So this week’s action is CALCULATE YOUR NET WORTH. ADD up all your assets (savings accounts, retirement accounts, home equity, etc) and SUBTRACT your liabilities (student…
